The H11 and H11 Max are Dreame’s very first powered floor scrubbers. A year after its release, the Chinese manufacturer renews its range with a logically named “H12” model, discovered by chance at Darty.
Physically, one could easily confuse H11 and H12. Visually, the new version of the Dreame floor cleaner is not fundamentally different from the old one, but would be much lighter (5 kg versus 9.3 kg) according to the technical data sheet published on the retailer’s website. This should significantly improve the usability of the device, especially since the roller drive makes it easier to handle the running scrubber.
In addition to the weight, we learn on the Darty website that the main changes have been made to the design of the cleaning head. This new “edge-to-edge” head aims to better wrap around baseboards and walls for better cleaning.
Adding to these changes is a suction mode that would allow the device to be used as a simple vacuum cleaner. In this case, it turns off the cleaning function and only sucks in the liquid without cleaning.
This is undoubtedly the main difference from its predecessor: the H11 Max could not represent a full-fledged suction solution, its suction function combined with washing only allows you to collect small dust that is not very encrusted. Therefore, the effectiveness of this mode needs to be evaluated to see if H12 alone can suffice. So far, only the Kobold vacuum cleaner combines these two functions in an impressive way.
Of course, the automatic mode is always there: it adapts the suction power to the dirt detected by the sensors at the level of the brush.

There is also the self-cleaning function of the roller. This is scraped from a row of teeth down to the root and the collected dirt is then sucked up by the device. To dry the roll, Dreame has developed a hot air drying system that, according to the manufacturer, only takes two hours to completely dry the roll.
Apart from that, the H12 has all the features of the H11 Max such as: B. a charging station for storing additional accessories, a display, dirt detection sensors and more. It’s equipped with the same battery (4000mAh) that allowed the H11 Max to last just over 40 minutes.
The H12 is available from Darty for €499 – that’s €100 less than the H11 Max when it launched.
